Second Pasay hub marks TP’s 29th site as AI reshapes client needs in Philippine IT-BPM sector

Pasay City, Philippines, September 2026 – Global digital business services leader TP in the Philippines strengthens its long-term investment in Filipino talent as it expands local operations with the opening of its 29th site in the country.
Located at the Four E-Com Center within the SM Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City, the new operations hub is expected to create more than 1,000 job opportunities for Filipinos. It is TP’s second site in Pasay, complementing its existing operations at the MAAX Building, which hosts more than 5,000 TP customer experts.
The new site will support the company’s growing global clientele expanding their operations in the country. This development comes as global businesses increasingly look for a combination of human expertise, digital capabilities and artificial intelligence to support more complex customer and business operations.
“Our expansion in Pasay reflects our global clients’ continued confidence in the Philippines and in Filipino talent’s ability to thrive with technology,” said Rahul Jolly, CEO of TP in the Philippines. “AI is reshaping work while expanding what people can achieve. For TP, the opportunity is to combine AI with our people’s expertise and emotional intelligence, empowering them to take on more complex work.”
Recent analysis from HSBC Global Investment Research found that the widely feared AI-driven collapse of the Philippine outsourcing sector has so far not materialized. Philippine business-services exports and employment have continued to expand despite the emergence of generative AI, while AI itself could help strengthen the competitiveness of outsourcing destinations by improving worker productivity, quality control and the ability to deliver services remotely.
Industry analysis shows that AI is changing tasks and workflows before eliminating entire service categories. As standardized activities become increasingly automated, human effort is becoming more concentrated in areas requiring exceptions, judgment, domain expertise and AI oversight. At the same time, capabilities such as AI-enabled operations, analytics, workflow redesign and transformation are becoming increasingly important.
According to the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), the Philippine IT-BPM industry continued to expand through the first major wave of generative AI adoption, generating approximately US$40.3 billion in revenue and employing 1.89 million in 2025, while the country’s share of global IT-BPM services headcount increased from 15% in 2022 to 17% in 2025.
While scale and cost competitiveness remain important strengths of the Philippines, clients are increasingly looking for more propositions beyond cost efficiency. They want partners that combine Filipino talent with AI, technology, and industry expertise to handle more complex work and deliver better results.
The strategy is consistent with TP’s broader view of how AI is moving from creating efficiencies to generating opportunities, enabled by a hybrid workforce in which human experts and AI-enabled systems work together. As routine tasks become increasingly automated, employees are expected to take on greater responsibility for complex customer situations, problem-solving, relationship building and oversight of AI-enabled workflows.

Peter Pardo, IBPAP Board of Trustee and HIMAP President JL Botor, IBPAP’s Genny Marcial, CXAP’s Roselle Guinares and Aissa Benitez, and SM Prime Holdings Vice President Alexis Ortiga. Meanwhile PEZA Director General Theo Panga shared a speech played during the program.
“The IT-BPM sector remains one of the strongest pillars of our economy, as we now have over 1000 registered IT BPM enterprises under PEZA. Every new hub like this one adds to that story, and reaffirms why the Philippines continues to be a top destination for global business services,” said Panga. “With this, we thank TP for your continued trust in our people and the country at PEZA. We truly value our partnership because your success is also our success, and we assure you of our commitment to supporting your operations every step of the way.”
TP has operated in the Philippines for 30 years and recently received its 9th consecutive Great Place to Work certification, the longest consecutive recognition among Philippine companies. It has expanded to approximately 60,000 employees nationwide operating in multiple Metro Manila sites and in regional IT Hubs including Cebu, Bacolod, Baguio, Clark, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Laoag and General Santos.
